Salvo Soccer Club has proudly partnered with the Woodbury Athletic Association (WAA) for fun and exhilarating soccer experiences designed for ages 5-15! Our player-centered training with a friendly, competitive atmosphere is a balanced design that builds your child’s character and confidence on and off the field. Information for Each Season

In the fall, spring, and summer, we offer one session for each age group that meets for one hour twice a week. In the 5U and 6U levels, the players do 30 minutes of training and 30 minutes of scrimmage play at each session. For all other age groups, one session per week is for training, and the other is a game.

We offer three 6-week sessions in the winter that meet once per week. These sessions provide engaging training and opportunities to practice with a greater variety of players at different skill levels. Players can sign up for one, two, or all three winter sessions!

Our parent coaches and Salvo staff tailor the training depending on the age group and help soccer players develop character-building skills and soccer-related techniques, like dribbling, passing, receiving, stops and starts, turns, 1v1 methods, and more.

When to Register for Each Season

To ensure a spot on the team, register your child early! Enrollment starts several months before the season begins. Visit the WAA website for specific dates, but here’s a look at our general schedule:

Fall: Register in May or June; play mid-August through October.
Winter: Register in August or September; play between November to March.
Spring: Register in February or March; play May through June.
Summer: Register in April or May; play mid-June to August.

Practice & Game Locations

Our locations for practices, scrimmages, and games change with each season. Our typical rotation is as follows:

Fall: Bailey Elementary for 5U-10U and Valley Crossing School for 11U+
Winter: M Health Fairview Indoor Center for all ages and sessions
Spring: Bailey Elementary for 7U-10U and Valley Crossing/Colby Lake for 5U-6U and 11U-12U
Summer: Valley Crossing/Colby Lake for all ages and sessions

Boys Community+ Soccer Program

If your soccer player has the ambition and drive to join our Travel or Select performance soccer teams, then register for our Community+ sessions. These spring and fall sessions provide more intensive training and more opportunities to play.

Players in this program train one extra night each week and play with other clubs in the surrounding communities for added playing development. They also benefit from specialized training with a Salvo SC National Youth License coach.
