It is the mission of Salvo Soccer Club (Salvo or Club) to provide financial assistance for players in need. An application for assistance is a certification that a player will not be able to participate in the Club without financial aid assistance due to severe family financial situations.
All applications will be reviewed in strict confidence. Applicants will be notified of the review panel's decision in a timely manner. It is crucial that financial aid applications are handled timely. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
Applications should be submitted for each child within a household that aid is requested. In addition to completing the application, families are required to submit their 2021 tax return and proof of any assistance programs that the family participates in. If extenuating circumstances are involved, evidence of these circumstances may be requested.
Applicants that are approved will be asked to volunteer an additional 1 hour per every $100 awarded in financial aid by the Club, up to a maximum of 5 hours, in one or several areas such as field maintenance, club fundraisers, or one of our tournaments.
Financial aid awards are offered in four (4) levels. They will be awarded based on multiple criteria given in the application, including but not limited to household income, other assistance, the number of requests the Club receives in a given year, and the amount of funds available in the financial aid account.
The following levels outline what scholarship awards are available.
