Team Managers are a vital part of a successful performance team. They handle the administrative duties for the team allowing the coach and trainers to prepare the players for competition.
Salvo SC coaches are asked to communicate directly to the families on team development, expectations, and progress, while managers are the communications liaison between the parents, Salvo SC administrators, scheduling entities, and tournament directors for all other topics.
A successful and enjoyable season requires a strong partnership between the manager and coach along with good planning.

TEAM EXPENSES
Each team will have expenses that go beyond what the player registration fee covers. These expenses may include tournament registration fees, coach travel, extra dome space costs, winter league fees, referee fees, etc.
Team Managers are not responsible for collecting these fees. Salvo SC staff will set each team's budget based on the expectations for the team. Families will set up their payment of these fees as a part of the registration process. We will adjust the team fees being collected as we finalize rosters and determine actual expenses incurred.
All questions regarding team fees and team budgets should be directed to teamexpenses@salvosoccer.org. Please include your team's name in the subject line of every email. PRACTICES/SCRIMMAGES
Practices
During the fall and spring seasons, team managers are responsible for scheduling team practices and maintaining their team's practice schedule. You will work with your coach to determine the best practice schedule for your team. Salvo SC uses bookafield for scheduling practices and each team will have the access needed to self schedule their team's practices.
During the winter months, Salvo SC staff will determine each team's practice schedule. This schedule will be released in late October. Team managers are responsible for requesting additional space should the team need it and dropping space the team will not be using.

Scrimmages
Teams can request to use space for scrimmages throughout their season. There will be a cost associated with using this space. This cost is typically split between the two teams. Prices below are for a full indoor field.

- Look through bookafield to see what open space is available. Open space will be white in color.
- Fill out the bookafield Request Form - Adding Space. Be sure to answer all the required questions.
- Requests must be made 5 days in advance of the time being requested. Requests will be reviewed in a timely manner.
- You will receive a confirmation or decline email in regard to your request.
What is the process to drop scrimmage space?
- Please confirm your reserved space in bookafield (accurate date, time, and location).
- Fill out the Google bookafield Request Form - Dropping Space. Be sure to answer all the required questions. Coaches and/or managers should not be dropping space in bookafield.
- Requests must be made 5 days in advance of the time being dropped. Requests will be reviewed in a timely manner.
- You will receive a notice from bookafield and an email once your space has been dropped.
What is the process to schedule a referee?
For scrimmages, if you would like referees, please contact Colleen Hase (chase@salvosoccer.org).
When emailing, please include:
- Team info (07G East Red, 11B South Steel, etc...)
- Opponent (if Salvo, team info, if non-Salvo, just club name)
- Reservation location and start and stop time.
- Scrimmage start time. OK to put ASAP if you want to start as soon as possible once you have the field or to identify how much warm-up time you want after the reservation starts.
Salvo Referee info:
- Team accounts are charged for referees by the club and the club pays the refs.
- For Salvo vs Salvo, each team is charged 1/2 of the fee.
- For Salvo, the team is charged 100% of the ref fees and is responsible to collect from the opponent with the dome fee.
Fees vary based on age and number of referees:
- U9/U10 - $35 for one referee and $55 for three referees
- U11/U12 - $40 for one referee and $70 for three referees
- U13/U14 - $45 for one referee and $85 for three referees
- U15/U16 - $50 for one referee and $100 for three referees
- U17+ - $60 for one referee and $120 for three referees

If you need to reschedule a TCSL or NPL game, please do the following:

- Make sure the reschedule request meets the league requirements of a game reschedule. For TCSL, per 9.1.2 Reschedules: Reschedules (with the exception of weather-related reschedules) to a different date is not permitted unless written approval is obtained from the League Office.
For NPL, per 3.5 If any NPL Competition is cancelled, the participating clubs shall attempt to reschedule the NPL Competition. If the participating clubs cannot agree on a reschedule date, the NPL General Manager shall determine if and how such NPL Competition shall be rescheduled. If the NPL General Manager finds that it is impossible to reschedule such cancelled NPL Competition, the NPL Competition shall be considered a non-played game, and neither team shall be awarded any points. - Look through bookafield to see what open space is available. Open space will be white in color. Work with your opponent to choose a date and time that will work for the reschedule. You must confirm that the dates work for the opponent before submitting your request.

Tournaments
New this year and in connection with the new team budget process, Salvo SC staff will be working with each team to handle the registrations of tournaments. This will include Salvo SC staff setting up the registration and directly paying for the registration fee. Managers should no longer be completing registrations or payments.

Please fill out this form for every tournament/event that your team plans to participate in throughout the year (all local and out-of-state tournaments).
